Flu Clinics 2020

Lavender Hill Group Practice will start this year’s flu campaign at the beginning of October as we expect to receive our vaccine stock then.

Patients who are aged over 65 years, or who have long term medical conditions will be contacted soon giving details of our flu clinics. We will also be making arrangements for our housebound patients to be visited.

The Flu Clinics will be by booked appointment only – please contact reception to arrange thisWe will of course be taking all necessary measures to keep you and our staff safe at all times during the clinics.

Flu clinics for patients aged over 65 years, with long term medical conditions, carers and pregnant women will be held on the following days, on a weekly basis:

  • Tuesdays         8am-11am
  • Thursdays        5.30pm – 7pm
  • Fridays             8am-11am

We can only offer the flu vaccine to patients who we have contacted (patients aged over 65 years, with long term medical conditions, pregnant women, carers and children in designated age groups).

Please note that patients in the 50-64-year age group will not be vaccinated until November or December, providing there are sufficient stocks, and no appointments will be offered for this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.  If you are 50-64 and you are in one of the other at-risk groups which are eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
